My Coming-Of-Age Trip

Hello all,

My name is Mark and I'm coming here to ask for some help. I'll be making my way to the Grand Canyon via driving from Indiana starting this weekend. I only have a week off from work and ultimately will only have two full days at the Grand Canyon. I'm doing this in sort of a coming-of-age spiritual trip.

I'm not one for religion or higher power beliefs but was raised in that sort of setting but I feel a major disconnect from the Earth in my current lifestyle. Anyhow, I'll be turning 27 next Wednesday (the 27th) and wanted to do something big for my "golden birthday". I don't have any debt, I'm a hopeless romantic that has only had two serious relationships in my life with tons of letdowns, I live with my parents, and just don't have a whole lot of out of my hometown experience.

See, I grew up in a farming community in Indiana of 10,000 people. Everyone knows everyone, it's ridiculous. I know the world is big and beautiful but I struggle with taking blind leaps into the unknown so I tend to stay in and play Xbox.

I'll quit boring you...

I leave Saturday night for the Grand Canyon. I'll be stopping in Des Moines, IA and Colorado Springs, CO on the way to and from. I've done very little research on the Grand Canyon other than follow the park on Instagram.

I guess what I'm asking is what are the most powerful views out there? I know I want to see Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. Is there anything else worth seeing that I could get in two days time while still getting to see those two sites?
