Running of the Bulls (Festival de San Fermin) Need advice
Hello everyone,
I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask- I had a few questions about the festival de San fermin and I was hoping I could get some advice from you guys.
I am an American and my girlfriend and I are planning to attend the festival this year. We are thinking about bringing a few friends and having some meet us there. We would like to reserve a room on the bull running route, but we are worried that we will overpay. We don't need an all inclusive experience like I see advertised everywhere. I am simply looking for a room for the week with no bells and whistles.
Do you know of any good places or people that would be willing to put up some Americans/Norwegians for the week? We know the rates for lodging during this week are astronomical so we are prepared for that. I was just hoping for a person recommendation or perhaps some insider info on how not to be a total tourist.
Also, we were wondering what the common way for people to get to Pamplona is. We could fly direct for about $2,000 USD or we could fly to Paris for $1000 USD and take a train. We are really lost on this part and would love to hear about your experiences.
