Hello! We were traveling from London to JFK on delta sky priority and only two of our three bags made it. We were at the airport three hours in advance and somehow it didn't end up on the plane at all and none of the subsequent flights so far. We did buy travel insurance from Allianz which said we have two hundred per person (two of us) for essentials. Delta said they will locate the bag and deliver it to our hometown tomorrow. We don't live in New York and didn't have a connecting flight. We were spending the night in new york and flying on a different air line tomorrow.

We also have a Chase sapphire reserve credit card which looks like it has some baggage delay reimbursement.

How does this all work? How does the travel insurance work with delta? Since we both had items in the bag with the travel insurance it sounds like we can both get essentials?

Any further steps we need to take?

Also and I know we shouldn't but my husbands medication was in there :(
