I'm hitchhiking from Chiang Mai to Malaysia. I've already made it to Prachuap Khipi Khan (a city about 230 km south of Bangkok). I'm about to hit a fork in the road, and I need advice: should I take the Route 4 (which follows the western coast) or Route 41 (which follows the eastern coast)? I want to save as much money as possible (I'm not sleeping in hostels or hotels, and have managed to avoid paying for accomodation for the last 2.5 weeks) and I also need to be out of Thailand by the 15th of September. Looking for any and all advice, as the locals that I've asked weren't as helpful as I had hoped.
