Needing help. Booked a flight to Key West for our honeymoon Oct 9th thru expedia, got insurance, hotels are closed due to hurricane and expedia wont refund (pls no upvote)

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post but I'm just kind of stressed right now and need help figuring things out.
A few weeks ago we booked our honeymoon in Key West , FL (Marathon to be specific). We as we all know Hurricane Irma happened. We received an email from our resort last week saying all reservations through September 24th have been cancelled and refunded and all reservations through October 15th can be cancelled free of charge as they are unsure of the island during this time. My fiance and I are expecting a girl in March amd this is one of the few places we could book on our side of the coast near the carribean without Zika cases.
We seem to be ok on cancelling out resort but expedia is another matter right now. When we booked I got the travel insurance just to be safe. I called them today to cancel and I am being told the travel insurance is only for medical emergencies and this is a non-refundable flight. She offered me a very small credit to book abother flight but we cant even do that now since half of our honeymoon expense was on these flights. I'm just kind of at a loss at what to do now. The other resorts I look up show hurricane messages about not accepting future reservationa currently and I am hesitant to take my pregnant fiance somewhere that may not be best suited for an instance.
Does anyone have any advice on what I should do? Again, I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this and if there is somewhere better to post please let me know. I'm just very stressed with this because we already had to go through a huge mess cancelling her dream wedding in Cabo next March due to the exciting news of a little one on the way and I've been busting my butt getting together a (as good as it can be) wedding in a couple months. Only now to find out that a large chunk of our budget is now dust in the wind.
