Looking for Alaska must-dos/don'ts for trip in 2018!
Any Alaska travelers or natives out there? I'll be traveling with my husband July/August 2018 to Alaska and we want to know what some of your favorites are and what are some spots to avoid!
We're planning a 12-day trip (2 days of travel total, 10 days of time in Alaska). We'll probably stick to the southern portion of Alaska and maybe the Aleutians. We are fairly cheap but willing to splurge on incredible experiences. We love being on, in and around the water, we love wildlife and hiking, are fairly healthy and have done some backpacking (not in grizzly country though). We are all about the local experience and not huge fans of tourist traps, but don't mind meeting interesting people if say there's a cool social location or activity.
