I live in Korea. Have 8 days to travel around the end of October. Travel suggestions?
I'm an American living in South Korea. I have some free time between jobs and have decided to solo travel for the first time.
I want to go somewhere new. Here are the places I've been:
Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan
I'm thinking Southeast Asia since it's close. I'd love to visit Eastern Europe but I don't think I have enough time ( I could be persuaded tho)
I want to go somewhere that is visa free (or gives a tourist visa easily) This kicks out Russia or China
Budget $2,000 - $2500 USD (my flights will be potentially paid for because of terms in my employment contract but still working out the details)
Likes / Interests:
- Cool architecture
- Big cities / Sky Lines
- Food / Alcohol (especially street food)
- Museums
- Tall Buildings
- Famous buildings
- Meeting Locals
- Nightlife
It's okay
-
Temples - cool but they get old fast. I definitely wouldn't trek though a jungle just to see one.
-
Beaches- I like hanging out in places near water (Hong Kong for example) but I'm not a chill at the beach guy.
My idea:
Thailand (Bangkok) and Cambodia (PP and Siem Reap). Or Malaysia.
Goals:
- See cool shit during the day and have fun at night.
- Build new experiences. Meet new people
- Get lucky ;) Not a lady of of the night. Meeting a local or fellow traveler who wants to get down
I'm sure I'll catch flak for that last one, but whatever. Grow up potential flak givers.
Thanks in advance!
