How can I find the cheapest departure location to my destination?
Hi everyone! I've searched through all of the flight tips in this sub (there's a ton!) and couldn't find what im looking for - I'm coming to you fine folks for help.
In summary, I'd like to input a destination and have my search result return the cheapest flights regardless of where the flight originated. Does something like this exist?
Here's my example - I want to go from South Florida (MIA or FLL) to Australia (SYD) over New Years. The cheapest flight I see is $2,000. However, I can get a round trip from Florida to LAX for $500 and roundtrip LAX to SYD for $900, totaling $1,400. Instant $600 savings.
I only picked LAX because I have a friend there joining the trip, so it was by chance. I'd love if a tool could help me search other airports, then I can narrow down the searches from there to fit my cost/time/comfort/etc.
I fully understand I need to juggle multiple reservations and all of the precautions that come with booking multiple reservations.
