My partner and I have a trip to Mexico City booked for next month, Oct 9 - 16. At the risk of making this tragedy about us, we're kind of wondering if we should still go or not. Safety is obviously a big concern. With disruptions to power and other services, maybe this trip would be better enjoyed at a later date?

Has anyone been in a similar situation before? Where a natural disaster struck before a trip?
