My boyfriend and I are looking to visit an "off the beaten path" country. We just got back from Namibia (or Nambia in Trump language), and it has sparked an intense thirst to travel to a country that has very little tourists. I am looking to go to a country that has a cultural experience as much as sightseeing, so if you have any other suggestions on alternative locations, that would also be great!

For those Redditors who have gone to Bangladesh, what was your experience like? Would you recommend it to two late-20's adventurous travelers? Did you ever feel unsafe, if so, in what way?

We were thinking of going for about 10-14 days mid-November 2017. If possible, we would also like to include Nepal as well within that. I am having trouble finding much information/blogs on Bangladesh (which I suppose comes with the "less travelled" territory.

Any experiences/advice would be greatly appreciated!
