Backpacking South America - is safety a reason to avoid Brazil?
Hey!
I'm doing 5/6 months in South America. Ecuador, Columbia, Chile (mainly south), Argentina and maybe Uruguay. I love the look of Brazil. I'm a 24-year-old guy, and smart when it comes to not getting into trouble and avoiding rougher places.
I really like the look of Brazil, but like alot people, I'm wary of safety. Firstly, is safety really a reason to skip Brazil? I've heard North Brazil especially can be stunny.
If it's not, what places would you avoid when backpacking?
Thanks!
