Advice on travelling between cities in Italy and using trains(Rome -> Venice -> Naples -> Sorrento -> Naples)
Hello, Here is my itinerary that i have planned so far
Land in Venice Sept 20, Stay 20, 21 Night
Stay in Rome 22,23,24,25 nights, Leave 26th morning
Leave 26 morning and have to get to Sorrento
So, I am looking at trains for
Sept 22 -> Venice to Rome -> I have a 10 euro train i found and seems to be the cheapest and quickest (Le Frecce High Speed Train)
Sept 26 -> Rome - Sorrento -> This i am finding conflicting information. Is it better to just get a train to naples and get a ferry to sorrento or grab a train straight to sorrento?
P.S. How do you guys suggest travel between areas like Postiano, amalfi coast etc in sorrento? (I read that bus is best)
Back to Naples from Sorrento (Ferry seems easiest and best)
Do you guys have any better suggestions for trains/travel in general in between these cities? Should i buy these tickets in advance on the eurail site?
Any advice is appreciated!
