What memorable (fun) things should I do in 7 days in Tokyo, 4 in Kyoto and 1 in Kobe?
Hey everyone,
This is the first (and possibly last, I normally can't afford these kinds of trips) time I'm going to Japan, I live in Germany. I'm really, really excited! I've never asked the intertubes for advice on travel before and I thought, might as well try.
Dates: I'll be there with my girlfriend from around 17th of September until 2nd of October. Our route is pretty much set, as described in the title. We'll start in Tokyo, probably go to Kyoto around the 22nd and stay for maybe 5 nights inclduing a one day trip to Kobe.
Budget: Our Budget is average, I saved up for this trip and really want to make as much as I can out of it. The occasional expensive sin is possible.
Likes: We are both 30 years, she's an architect, I'm a psychotherapist. We travelled around european cities a lot (it's cheap to do that for us, not far away) we are more urban folk and enjoy walking and exploring the city. We rarely get to experience nature, but when we do, we really appreciate it. She is very much into architecture and also museums, but she's up to different stuff as well, she's actually joining me for a japanese Wrestling show in Kobe :-) I like experiences, I like "doing" stuff when I am somewhere. I love food, but I try activities whenever I can. Surfing, carving, the mario kart vr thing that was on the frontpage the other day - you name it, I'd love to have a go if it's something I can only or best do in Japan.
I have no idea if this will get 0 or 10 responses, but I really really appreciate every single recommendation!
