Terrible experience with American Airlines
I'm not even sure if this is the place to post it. I just had to share the terrible customer service I experienced with American Airlines.
Last year I booked a flight on AA to attend my brother's wedding. The flight was canceled and I missed the rehearsal dinner. There were a variety of other problems and I filed a complaint with AA. They responded by issuing me a $200 voucher. Not the greatest compensation, but whatever.
I will go back to visit my family for Christmas so I decided to use the voucher given to me by American Airlines. However the paper voucher cannot be used online (what year is it?)! Customer service told me to book online and place it on hold. I tried but didn't find the hold option and ended up booking the ticket.
Now customer service won't provide a replacement voucher. Won't offer another credit. Won't redirect me to a supervisor.
Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. If you are booking flights soon, avoid American Airlines!
