Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Andalucia) Itinerary Review and Help Please! (Itinerary link in comments)
Hi redditors!
It’ll be me and 2 friends. All from the US. Will be in Spain: October 9-22.
General Questions:
- General opinion on the itinerary? Are there certain things that deserve more/less than a day?
Madrid
-
Planning to rent a car from Madrid airport and drive to Toledo and Segovia. How much and is it easy to find parking parking in those cities (basically leaving the car parked there for 8 hours or more)?
-
Are there any difficulties that I should expect while adjusting to driving in Spain (from the US)?
Malaga
-
How is the drive from Malaga to La Linea (in order to walk over to Gibraltar)? Are there any parking difficulties in La Linea?
-
How’s the drive from Malaga to El Chorro? Is it better to take the train?
-
Planning to do the El Caminito Del Rey hike, do we really need to book a ticket or can we just go there the day of and purchase tickets? (Right now, October 17th is booked in the morning for general entrance, but there’s a tour guide one in the morning...thinking of purchasing that and just skipping the tour guide all together).
-
Recommendations on companies that take you out rock climbing in El Chorro (trying to do some rock climbing the same day as El Caminito Del Rey). I’ve heard of clever climb, but looking for more suggestions.
-
Hostel recommendations for Malaga would be great.
Seville
- Hostel Suggestions.
Update: Yes, I've read the weekly Spain destination thread that was posted two years ago, but need more information.
