Should I pay $100 to extend my 2 month vacation in Thailand by a week?
I know this is really all up to me, but I'm uncertain and could use advice. I got 8 weeks off of my job to travel in SEA, and after booking some cheap tickets ($600) I found out that I'll have an additional week off. It looks like I can cancel my tickets for a $100 fee and purchase new ones for a week earlier for the same price, so essentially I'll be paying $700 instead of $600 for one additional week in Thailand. I'm considering extending my vacation because I worry that 8 weeks won't be enough time and when it's time to come home I'll have wished I'd extended the trip. However, since I'm on a budget and am very frugal, I'm just wondering if the $100 would be worth an extra week there (at the peak of tourist season in early Jan). It's the only vacation like this I'll probably be able to do for years, so I want to make it count!
Just wondering what some of you would do in this situation!
