Making up my mind on SEA
Greetings, kind folks of /r/solotravel.
Next summer, after graduating high school for the second time, I want to visit Southeast Asia. I want to know the possibilities for a 20 year old male on a €2500,- budget who has never solo-travelled before.
Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam sparked my interest the most. Given the fact that I am on a limited budget and do not have all the time in the world (6-7 weeks at most), I need to make decisions on which countries (or country) to visit.
I have done my own research, but all of the countries listed are appealing and seem 'accessible' for a first-time solo-traveller. I do not ask you to plan my trip for me, but I would like to hear your opinion on this matter. I would love to visit all four countries, and even though it is possible, I do not want to go through them in such a fast pace that I miss out on places or experiences.
What would make a good itinerary for a first-timer, who would probably return the year after to explore more of the region?
