Couple looking to travel in end of December to early January stuck on ideas.

My partner and I are mid 30's and looking for a holiday to escape Christmas with either of our families. Not big on gatherings. Have been hunting for ideas over the last few weeks.

We live in Sydney, Australia.

We have been to the USA twice and not keen on going back again.

We have been to London, not keen on going back. Also some other parts of Europe but keen on going back these (Denmark, Netherlands, Beglium, Germany). We have also been to New Zealand.

We have been to Fiji, Bali, Thailand and do not want to go back there. We are not very keen on Eastern Europe, Spain, Africa or South America. I know this cuts out a lot which is why we are stuck.

Ideal time frame would be 21st December to the first week of January. Budget is around $5000.

Love a good meal, don't mind a hike. Not really into art museums. Science or similar are good though. Given its the end of the year, just looking to relax at a beach location possibly. Clubs or bars nearby would be nice.
