Air conditioning and a cruise ship [story]
Just 2 days ago I got home from my first cruise ever (also the first time I got to another country, which was pretty awesome). The cruise ship was great,had lots of bars entertainment etc like any other,but the one thing I just hated was the AC. The temps were set so low in the lounges many had to get jackets or something similar. I didn't feel cold much at first so I didn't bother. AC was cold as hell in the cabins too,there was a control panel but no clear instructions,so me and my 2 co-travellers just went with it. On the last night,when I was about to sleep,I decided not to tuck up as I felt like it was hot outside. 5 hours of sleep later, I woke up and felt like a zombie: my throat was dry and burning and my nose was runny. I had managed to catch a cold in the middle of AUGUST. Few mins later my friend wakes up, sees that I'm a mess and goes "hey you alright you don't look so hot",to which I tried to answer but almost threw up. 2 days later and I'm still sick. Thanks guy that had the marvelous idea to set the air conditioning to polar temperatures
