Which of these two routes should I take during winter? (Advice please!)
I'm going to be driving from St. Paul, Minnesota to Albuquerque, NM (and back) in about 10 days. I've been debating which route to take for a while and I really need to decide.
Both routes take I35 to Des Moines, Iowa and then I have to option of taking I80 through Nebraska and Colorado or taking I335 through Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas to I25 in NM.
I have already done the Kansas/Oklahoma/Texas drive and I didn't love it. I want to take the route through Nebraska and Colorado just for the sake of scenery, but I feel like that might be the more problematic route seeing as it's winter. My first priority is getting there safely and not having the trip be stressful, so I'll take the safest route.
Anyone have advice for me?
