SMALL BIG TRIPS - Main St. Santa Monica
My affection and deep respect for the city Santa Monica, CA was born in 2001 in May of that year when I visited Los Angeles, for my first time and of course I decided to see the Pacific Ocean, so of course I drove from a cheap little hotel in Koreatown along famous Santa Monica Blvd down to the beach. That day I explored the Third Street Promenade and the Pier (in which I also recently made a video like this one, telling a little bit of its history).
Officially I moved to Los Angeles in February 2005, when I soon got my first job which happens to be right here in Santa Monica. That's when I gradually began to explore and become even more enchanted with this city. At that time on TV, there was an amazing show with this super charismatic presenter and his name was Huell Howser and his show was properly called California Gold. For me, in addition to learning a lot from Huell, who not only visited the entire state of California, but also told their stories and interviewed local people who added even more to the content.
So this Main Street special here in Santa Monica is modest, but it is 100% sincere and clear I owe it to the city that welcomed me, as well as to all the people I met in this process. As always, I dedicate this video to those who like me, like to explore and learn a little more about the history of these places I visit. I hope you like this video. Thanks. DN
