This will be my first big solo trip and I'm looking for some advice. In the mid of January, I plan to pack up all my things in my 2014 AWD Kia Sportage to move to Aspen, Colorado from Northwest Indiana. I know it's not the best time to travel but I want to keep my own word and plan safely. I'm planning to put on winter tires, carry chains with me, and track the weather patterns because I don't want to get caught in a snowstorm. I love driving and I love the winter. Anyone from CO have some advice to share about January winters? It'll be my first time traveling alone for this long as it's a 20 hour drive.
