California Winter Road Trip
Hi! So unfortunately we had our international trip cancelled due to covid restrictions and are trying to find a stateside trip to fit in its place! Last year we ended up driving from Texas to Utah and back and this year we are thinking why not California!
The rough idea we have right now is to fly in San Francisco rent a car and spend roughly 10-12 days driving the state. We have been to California plenty of times to visit friends and family but truly never left the Los Angeles, San Diego or Sacramento areas.
Our top hits are of course Big Sur drive and would love to hit as many National Parks as possible since we love the outdoors and hiking.
Would it be possible to drive:
-San Francisco -> Santa Barbara -> San Diego -> Joshua Tree -> Death Valley -> Sequoia -> Kings Canyon -> Yosemite -> San Francisco
Our worry is the Sierra area with snow in the winter since we have no been there during December in over a decade. Worse case if that range is not doable we would love to squeeze in Redwoods somehow.
Any tips or suggestions highly appreciated!
