Best US car to take on European Road Trip- cheap, practical, supported?
Planning an epic family road trip around Europe (and Eastern Europe, Baltics, etc)
Dan Grec (the Road Chose Me) makes the case that a US Jeep is the best choice for an American overlanding around the world but this would be more of an asphalt trip.
We have two kids, I retire in a year. this trip will happen sometime in the next four years. Have not worked out what kind of trip it will be (hotels or camping) But the choice of vehicle may be the driver for everything else.
Something i can buy in the US that will be well supported everywhere from Liverpool to Tallinn,
Could be something new or old and cheap or something i can sell over there and leave behind.
I would love to hear people's thoughts. The current family fleet is a Ford Excursion and a Subaru Tribeca.
