Thinking of taking a personal trip to Seattle
So recently I've (28m) been contemplating about taking a personal trip to get away from work and I've been thinking about Seattle for some time because I've never been. I could book a flight but part of me wants to experience the drive since it would take a but over 13 hours from where I live in California to the Seattle area.
[To anyone who currently lives in Seattle or has been there recently] - If I make the decision to go, I just want to know some things first before actually making any sort of plan: 1) how is everything with COVID restrictions? I anticipate mask mandates and limited capacity for some places (got fully vaccinated earlier this year + still have my vac card) 2) are there any good places for socializing? I wouldn't know anyone there but if I was at a bar or something I'd feel like I'd want to socialize or (possibly but not probably) flirt with someone there 3) if I decide to check out Olympic National Park, what's an easy/intermediate hiking trail I could check out? 4) are there any places worth checking out? And what about places to avoid? (I.e. i heard that the Space Needle is basically a tourist trap so I'd rather just snag a photo from the ground) 5) how many days optimal would be a quick fun trip as a getaway from work and to just have a vacation? My guess would be about 3-6 days including the half day drive but anyone have a rough estimate?
Thanks in advance!
