Road Trip Ideas?- Ontario/Quebec
Hi all,
Not sure if I am even thinking realistically about this so someone please correct me if I'm not.
I want to go on a mini road-trip with my dog in the last week of November. We're starting in Toronto, ON on Nov 26/21 and will go to Ottawa, ON arriving the night of and leaving early morning on Nov 29/21.
I'm interested in seeing the Northern Lights if possible, I heard there's some points North in Ontario or Quebec where you can do this. But mainly I just want to see lots of beautiful nature scenes for my dog and I to enjoy together. Up for a day hike somewhere too if that's an option. I'm not that interested in Culture or Urban settings for this trip but I'm not sure where to go. Pelee Island was an option but not sure how great that is in the winter. Manitoulin Island was also an option. If I leave on the 29th, I can arrive by the 30th and maybe enter the Dark Sky Preserve they have there. I don't want to go for days either. Either finish by the evening of the 30th or early morning on December 1. Essentially, I just want to drive for a few days and see more of this great province I live in. It's huge but I have barely seen any of it and I know it can be really beautiful.
Can anyone provide any insight please?
