Cross Country (CA-NJ) Solo in January
Hi everyone!
I will be driving from my family's house in Northern California back to school in Nj, which is something I have done before but only in the summer and always on a northern route (through Montana/Wyoming). This seems actively dumb to do in the dead of winter, especially since I have very little experience driving in the snow. So, I'm looking for route recommendations and winter road trip tips!
Some more info about what I'm looking for in a route/what kind of roadtripper I am
- I would really like to hit some national parks along the way and do some hiking
- I have very little money so I will probably be sleeping in my car some nights, so I would like to be able to stop places that are relatively safe and not too freezing.
- I'm considering moving to Denver after graduation and have never been there, so if possible I would like to stop there. I'm not sure how much of a good idea going to Colorado during ski season is though.
- I want to take about 10 days or less to make the trip, but am rather flexible.
Thanks everyone!
