Need help with a road trip, Texas to PA to Maine & back
Hey guys,
This trip is a combination of a 1 year anniversary and a cancer trip. Getting a transplant after the trip so I want to do this as one last normal life vacation.
My gf and I are the ones going, both 29.
Gonna shoot straight from dfw Texas to York PA to see grandparents first. Then go north up to Maine. Haven't planned any of that yet
Leaving tomorrow to go to Pennsylvania. GPS gives 2 options with it forking northeast or east at Nashville. Which route is prettier is better? We'll stay in a random motel to split drive up.
That's my first question as we're leaving tomorrow.
On or after the 27 we'll leave PA heading north. This part I have nothing planned. Figured we'd wing it and end up in Acadia national park. Any tips for this part (after leaving PA to head north)? Definitely want to see fall foliage. Also was wondering what type of rental car I should get? Have a reservation for standard but will upgrade to something likely
Planning on trip being 2 weeks but can be longer. When driving back from Maine to Texas no need to hit Pennsylvania on way back
