Hi everyone,

I am planning a month-long (flexible) solo road trip starting San Francisco, and I need to end up in Los Angeles. I was thinking going up the coast, then east and back down, then west to LA. I'm a foreigner and not super familiar with the different states and what there is to see. I am using Roadtripper to plan the trip, and so far have Sacramento (visiting a friend), Portland, Seattle and Seqoia National Park as destinations. I'm definitely not sure what in the middle states, like Idaho and Utah (I don't mind going further east either). Any suggestions or advice (especially for a solo male, who doesn't have his hotels booked) for destinations or anything else would be greatly appreciated!
