Southwest Roadtrip, Camping Spots, Dive Bars...
Hey guys! I'm going on a road trip with a friend in late September or early October. Starting and ending in Denver (the home base). It's going to be a bit of a whirlwind as we only have 7 days to do it, but these are our waypoints... Denver, Santa Fe, Flagstaff, Salt Lake City, Cheyenne, and back home. We are looking to camp out most nights, and maybe stay at a hotel one night in the middle just to get one good shower in. We have plenty of backpacking and camping experience, but would love to know any must-see day hikes or dispersed campsites that wouldn't take us tooooo far off of our main path. What I'm hoping you good people of reddit can really provide though, are some hole-in-the-wall dive bars where we can kick it and throw a few back with the locals. The kinds of places that wouldn't show up on a google search.
