Planning advice 2023 Pacific Highway 1 Tijuana to Vancouver
Hey all,
Visiting the US/North America for at least 6 weeks in 2023 (forward planning as not roadtripping whilst 'rona is raging).
I am doing a 'rite of passage' holiday for my then almost 12 year old as she goes into 2ndary school.
It's been a dream since my childhood to do the entire US top to bottom. Have done many other US trips. Ok a few questions:
- Best sites and sub reds, threads for this please?
- Rent/Buy a small camper van or car and stay in motels/hotels? (I am American but my license has expired so may be easier to sort something else).
- Single woman travelling on my own any places to avoid? Have friends all over that coast too!
- Been to LA so not too worried about huge cities.
- Is 6 weeks long enough to do this?
- Is combining a cheesy FLY drive (I am in the UK) worth it? Better cost?
- Budget etc? I am thinking about £3 to 4k. (Just south of $5k). May be able to work while there if we sort a van/mifi.
