Driving down the west coast on US101/CA1 from Astoria, OR to San Francisco in 4 days
Originally planned a road trip next month through western & central Oregon but adjusted due to wildfires, super excited to see so much beautiful ocean scenery with this new plan. Nervous about driving the coastal roads though, as I’m used to boring, flat highways - any advice?
Have plans to spend time at the below for sure but let me know of any can’t-miss stops along the way!
-Ecola State Park/Cannon Beach -Thor’s Well -Heceta Head Lighthouse -Samuel H. Boardman State Corridor -Jedediah Smith Redwoods -Mendocino/Russian Gulch State Park
This will all be a new part of the country for me. I’m into film photography, short hikes, wildflowers, thrift shops, local arts and crafts, breakfast foods, and basically anything I can’t see at home in Texas.
