Best road trip vehicle for the two of us
So here’s the deal, my wife and I prefer driving over flying when we travel. My wife has an issue with her legs sweeping or back hurting if we drive more than about 6 hours in a day or any sort of extended trip that takes more than 1 day.
We have a 2015 Dodge Journey which we have taken from Oklahoma to Florida twice which is about 17 hours of driving and we also have a 2019 Honda Accord Touring model we have take on that same trip once.
Normally it’s the two of us sometimes we have our a 16yr old with us and on very rare occasions it would be 4 people total. Everyone is between 6’ and 6’4” and we are looking for something that is comfortable for the long haul, something that my wife could really stretch out if needed but something that we could have 4 people in for one dray tips on occasion. But also practical enough for a daily driver if needed.
We don’t drive a lot day to day as we both work from home, for example the 2015 Dodge Journey with several road trips has 64k miles and the Honda which has taken 2 roads trips already only have 6700 miles.
We have been thinking about a mini van, maybe the 2022 KIA Carnival which has second row captains chairs that also have reclining footrests but I wanted to get some advice from more knowledgeable people so I don’t miss out on something that is obvious to you all that I wouldn’t think of.
I would like to keep the cost at or below around the 50k-55k range and I want something with plenty of bells and whistles.
What would you recommend?
