Sun Valley to Seattle; what's your must see along the way?
The girlfriend and I have a wedding in Sun Valley over the fourth of July weekend, and are then leaving that area on July 7th. We have another wedding in Seattle on August 14th, and we are trying to plot out a fun road trip in between. We've never been in this area of the US, and are trying to optimize for nature sights and outdoor things to do. Originally we were thinking about going north after Sun Valley, to check out Glacier National Park, and then head west, to Seatle, from there, but it seems like everything up there is totally booked during our date range. Here's the plan we have so far:
Location | Start Date | End Date |
---|---|---|
Sun Valley, Idaho | Monday, June 28th | Wednesday, July 7th |
Boise, Idaho | Wednesday, July 7th | Saturday, July 10th |
Bend, Oregon | Saturday, July 10th | Friday, July 16th |
Cannon Beach, Oregon | Friday, July 16th | Sunday, July 18th |
Seattle, Washington | Sunday, July 18th | Friday, August 20th |
Picture of route on Google Maps
Getting to Seattle early to explore the PNW, as we've never been up there, but is there anything we should check out along the way, that we'd be missing out on? Or a different route altogether?
Appreciate anyone's advice!
