Hello reddit.

We are planning on going on a road trip with my two daughter and wife. This is not our first time visiting Niagara Falls, but it will be our first time making it a road trip.

Since we are traveling with two kids we will do an overnight stay somewhere but don't know where so that's where I need help with.

I know that it can be anywhere along the way but if we can stay in a city/town where we can stop and admire it, that it is safe and have fun.

I was thinking Syracuse, but perhaps someone else has a better location?

What to expect and what to bring? Do you guys suggest me to get a rental or go on my own car?
