One week on the Kenai Peninsula
Hi folks.
The two of us will be leaving Anchorage and driving into the Kenai Peninsula for roughly a week in early-mid June. We'll have an SUV. We know we'll be staying in Seward for at least a couple days to see Fjords NP. Beyond that, we need to fill in the gaps before reaching Homer to clean up before driving back to Anchorage to fly home.
Our objectives are to hike, camp, kayak, and see beautiful things. We love cute little towns but care a bit more about getting out there than staying in.
- Is Homer worth more than a couple days' stay? Or should we take our sweet time getting there?
- What about the other small towns along the Seward hwy? What's worth spending more than part of a day in?
- I've seen many hiking options. What are must-do's?
- Any other advice for driving along the Seward hwy would be great.
