First ever cross country road trip

Hey everyone! So I'm headed out for my first cross country road trip next month. This started out as a trip with me flying to Las Vegas to meet some buddies but then I thought a road trip out there would be a lot cooler. I do not have a whole lot of time to spend because of work. I'm aiming at around 16 days on the road. I know this isn't a lot of time compared to other people's trips I've read about on here but this is what I'm working with. Im more of a "taking in the scenery" type of person. I love driving and seeing different things so I think this trip will be right up my alley. I'm not a big fan of touristy places with a lot of people. Im more of a "off the beaten path" person who likes seeing places that doesn't see a whole lot of foot traffic. I'll be starting this adventure in Ohio and headed up to I-94 where I'll follow that out west for the most part. One of the big things that I want to see on the way out is Glacier National Park in Montana. I'm not much of a hiker so just views of the mountain terrain will be plenty for me. From there I want to possibly check out the Seattle/Tacoma area. I really want to check out the Oregon coast. I had originally planned on driving down to Los Angelas and head back east from there but I'm not for sure if there is a whole lot to see in LA right now. Headed back I'll be stopping in Vegas for a day and then continuing my journey back home. I plan on driving through NV, AZ, NM, TX, and from there I don't know yet. I really want to check out Shiprock and White Sands NP in NM. Any suggestions on this trip? I know I don't have a route planned that makes it easy to suggest things but anything helps. Thanks.
