Budget Car Rental Card Decline
I just recently tried to reserve a car online with Budget. When I entered my debit card information, it declined saying my information was “invalid”. I then look at my account and see that that they debited me anyway. I called them immediately and they explained to me that the card auto rejected and that my money was put on hold for 24 hours. It’s Saturday night. I need to travel home and I can’t have my money on hold for long. Has anyone else experienced this? Did it take 24 hours total? Or do I have to wait till the next business day. Because I’ll be stranded if that’s the case. I work with debit cards and I fee that this is a flaw in their system. It just doesn’t make any sense. I have no car and no money.
