Best Arizona stops
Looking at a last minute road trip through Arizona next week. Would be living out of my van and camping so want to keep it above 40 or so at night if possible. I'm not very familiar with which cities / areas of Arizona are lower elevation desert vs higher elevation and which areas would be warmer to stay in this time of year vs which could easily drop to freezing Temps at night. I start to get uncomfortable in my 20 degree bag at about 35 degrees (I sleep really cold even with all the layers).
I want to stay in national or state parks or on blm land or stealth camp. I love to hike and backpack and would consider parking at a trail head and staying overnight somewhere as well.
I know there are so many beautiful landmarks and natural wonders in AZ so just wondering the best places to seek what I'm looking for. Thanks reddit hivemind.
