Solo Mammoth road trip tips for a noobie
Hey all, I'm a second season snowboarder with pretty fast progression (if I do say so myself) and wanted to eventually check out mammoth this season. I plan on going with at least 1 friend, but it might be unlikely so I'll probably end up going on my own. That being said I've never been on a solo multi-day road trip and would appreciate any advice or tips. ie 1) Where can I park overnight without being evicted/fined. 2) Any stores that are chillin with travelers using their restrooms for utility 3) Any recs on good and affordable solar powered charging devices. You get the point...I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff. But I gotta start somewhere!
I also only have a 2WD '94 4runner with all-terrain tires with chains. Made it up to Big Bear, but there was hardly any ice or snow on the road.
Side note: I planned on going this weekend, but with no experience driving in snowstorm/blizzard conditions I've put this trip on hold for the time being.

- I know it's most definitely advised to simply look for lodges or hotels and what not, but keep in mind I'm doing this solo and I am unfortunately on quite a budget -
