Opinions on Seatbelts
Hi! So this is my very first time posting anything on Reddit, so I'm not very confident but here goes nothing:
I'm taking a class called Engineering Design and Development and I have a project to identify a problem, justify it, find a possible solution, and develop a prototype. The problem I want to do is something I definitely would like solved but I don't know if there's a market out there for it.
My family frequently takes long road trips across the states in our family suburban*, often going through the night, and it gets really tiring and hard to find a comfortable position to kind of lie down and somewhat sleep. The seatbelt always gets in the way no matter what I try, but I do not want to unbuckle and put my life at risk (though if anything does happen, I highly doubt it would be the fault of whoever's driving our suburban). Either the shoulder strap is cutting into my neck; prevents me from lying across the bench-seat (I don't actually know what it's called. the double seat that's behind the driver's); or the buckle digs into my hip, no matter which seat I'm sitting in.
Does anyone else have this problem or is it just my autistic butt that has it? What do you guys think?
*I attached some pictures of the suburban
