We're thinking about doing a road trip from NJ (Central) to TX (San Antonio). We have to go house hunting down there.

We're not doing this for tourism so stops along the way would simply be to rest, eat, and sleep where necessary. Wanting to make good time. The scenery will be the real takeaway here. Two passengers and we can swap on and off for driving to try to maximize mileage per day.

Any thoughts on a best route if you've done this drive before, or one like it?
