Now, I know this is really far out but I'm going to graduate college in a year and a half to two years and I want to go on a year-long road trip where I hit every single state (including flying to Alaska and Hawaii). I know this is really far out, but I am 100% serious about going. I AM making this trip. Currently saving for it.

I am trying to compile a list now of all the must-see spots. I know that this trip will take a while to plan and since I have free time right now as I'm between semesters, I thought that I might as well start.

I'm looking for your expert opinions, people who have already traveled to these places, and want to know what your "must-see" spots are. I love hiking and being in nature and I want to hit as many national parks as possible. I don't drink and I'm not huge on nightlife but I do like to get out and do things during the day. I want to hit the cities even though the night life doesn't super interest me. Opinions? Thoughts? Comments?
