Are people driving more aggresively these days?
I was driving on the interstate yesterday for the first time since the pandemic and noticed that people seemed to be driving much more aggressively and more erratically. Is it a common trend these days, maybe due to the stress from the pandemic? I was driving on I-65/465 near Indianapolis but it felt like driving in Chicago with the kind of drivers on road..Also there were like four accidents in five hours ... Never experienced anything like that in that region.
I have done many road trips in the past and have driven in every one of the lower 48 states. I always thought drivers in midwest are the most polite and considerate. But that's not what I experienced yesterday.
I actually planned to drive to Tennessee and spend a couple of days there and then continue to Alabama -- it was my winter break road trip. But after a few hours on road I decided to cancel the trip and drove back. I just felt it was not worth the risk, esp. in the middle of the pandemic.
