Advice Needed: SoCal to Utah or NorCal?
Hey all! Hoping to get insight on a trip I'm planning with my girlfriend for next week starting this upcoming Sunday and ending the following Sunday. Nothing regarding the route is set in stone yet though we want to take advantage of all the time off that we're getting. So we're leaning towards the sights and views a drive to Utah would entail more than up North from LA. We've seen plenty of PCH/coastal views having lived in LA so we'd be more interested in the sights more inland going north. As far as Utah goes, we're hoping to see some of the following on the way: Cathedral Rock Sedona, Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Canyon Lands National Park, Bryce Canyon, etc. My only cause for concern to Utah is that it's Winter and I drive a 2020 FWD Mazda3 Hatchback on all season tires. So my questions are: how far into Utah is feasible to drive this winter? If it's not an option due to weather, what are some must see sights through northern California? Or plan C, maybe a trip further east could yield some adventure? Any and all tips are much appreciated and happy holidays to all!
