Roadtrip Advice (CA to CO)
Hi everyone. I am new to taking road trips, but I decided that it is something I really want to do. I plan on leaving some time next week. I am from Orange County. I don't know much about traveling. There's a part of me that is scared and nervous, but that is exactly why I am forcing myself to embark on this self-discovery spiritual journey. My friend had suggested visiting some national parks here in CA like Sequoia, King's Canyon, and Yosemite since they are close to each other, but he also commented that they receive a lot of traffic and I'm looking for a more immersive, personal experience with nature. Are there any spots like this in CA or CO that are a bit less crowded with great scenery?
I managed to get a week off of work for this, so I had planned on taking it easy and even stopping by spots on the way there or back. Given that I haven't traveled much, I am unsure which trip would be the most fulfilling for my spiritual discovery needs. Perhaps someone has taken a similar trip and knows some spots along the way?
Also, what would be some essentials to take? If I can save money, I would like to. If this means sleeping in my car, I would consider it. If I were to drive to CO next week, would I have to worry about weather conditions, snow, tire chains, etc...?
