Road Trip Recs for Northern Arizona + Southern Utah
Me and my girl are new to Flagstaff and wanted to take time to explore beautiful nature of the state (and possibly southern Utah/western New Mexico) around Thanksgiving since our family plans are cancelled because of covid. We are thinking of hitting the road for about a week.
We also want to not be rushing around doing a ton of driving. Maybe divide the week in two, getting a rental place near one park then another and exploring it at a relaxed pace. We are also down for camping as well. And lots of hiking
How does the weather get late November out in the desert?
What parks would you reccomend and timeline? We'd like to see the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, and also Zion National Park (the one place I've been as a kid). My girlfriend is an Archaeologist so any historical Native American Sites, fossil sites, all that stuff that is open would be great to hear about too!
Other than that are really open to your suggestions. We also want to be as respectful and covid-safe as possible during this time.
Thanks a ton!
