I'm Canadian but my dads side of the family lives in Ohio. 7 of us are planning to roadtrip to California. I don't know much about America and was seeing which places would be great to visit on the way. We have 5 adults, one teenager and one child. Any help would be great!

Edit: We're planning to go in August, don't really have a budget but we're all about having fun and making the most out of it. So if it's worth it we're willing to spend the money but if something is cheaper and still great then that's probably better.
