We're moving west! ISO ideas
Hello reddit roatrippers! My name is Allie and I need to borrow your collective creative genius. My boyfriend and I are moving to Los Angeles for my job. i've already been working for this company for 2 years and they approved my transfer to the LA office, yay! I'm on work from home order until next summer, at the earliest.
We're currently staying with family in Kansas and looking for ideas of where to stay along the route out to LA. Originally, we planned to straight up live in Colorado for 3 months for shits and giggles, and we planned to do so responsibly so not to bring covid to those communities that are already strained-- but i posted looking for housing and we haven't had much luck-- seems like everyone has the same idea-- escape to the mountains during the election.
Here's where i'd love some advice-- this year has taken a lot from us and we were hoping to make some good memories of it. Instead of going straight out to LA, can you think of any places along the route that would be fun to live for the winter, or maybe just a month? I don't mind being on mountain time and working for Pacific time, but Central time would be a bit too much of a difference.
TL;DR: moving out west, need ideas for price conscious + interesting places to live for a month at a time to spice up the journey, or long stopovers along the way. Thanks!
