Hi everyone, This upcoming December my partner and I will be driving to Seattle to visit his family for the winter holidays. We both have done the trip a few times, and we always divide it into two segments (usually stopping in either Boise, Baker City OR, or La Grande OR). Thing is, we have never done it during winter. We would normally fly, but we don't want to risk it plus tickets are already expensive. I just wanted to ask here and see if anyone has done this route in the winter, and if so what we need to prepare for. I'm a seasoned roadtripper/camper, so I'm already thinking about what we can bring to help us in case we get stuck (kitty litter, shovel, extra food. stuff like that).
